Two Beautiful Decisions Twitter Made for #Chirp
I've been at Chirp, Twitter's developer conference, all day. All in all, it's been fantastic. Twitter is at an inflection point in the company's strategic direction and it's been facinating to watch them navigate an evolving relationship with the developers who helped them get as big as they are. But regardless of where you stand on Twitter as a company, or as a product, or as a platform, I think there are two decisions they made for their first conference that resulted in beautiful outcomes. 1. The Venue. The Palace of Fine Arts is the most beautiful place I've ever attended a conference. I'm sad I won't be able to make the Jonsi show here on Friday. What a venue. 2. The Badges. I've been to a lot of conferences and badges are generally bland with little creativity. Twitter produced slick looking, informative badges (schedule inside) that most importantly reinforce the company's personality. Attention to detail is always impressive.
